Many Internet service providers (ISPs) have their own search pages that appear when you type a nonexistent address into your browser’s address bar. These pages have sponsored results that are typically not helpful whatsoever to aid you in getting to your original destination and generate a source of revenue for your ISP. If you would rather be redirected to a 404 error page indicating that the site does not exist, as the Internet originally intended, change the domain name servers (DNS) in your network options.
